Telehealth Video Consultation

Thoughtful, unhurried virtual visits with your own physician, from wherever you happen to be.

A telehealth video consultation lets you meet face-to-face with Dr. Golian by secure video, ideal for follow-up visits, medication reviews, and non-urgent concerns when coming into the office isn't practical. As a Direct Primary Care member, you have direct access to your physician across Los Angeles, no waiting room required.

How Your Telehealth Visit Works

At your scheduled time, you'll join a private, encrypted video link from your phone, tablet, or computer. Dr. Golian reviews your history and any recent results together with you, discusses your symptoms or questions, and adjusts your care plan in real time.

Many follow-ups for stable conditions such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or type 2 diabetes are well suited to video. When an in-person exam, lab work, or imaging is needed, she'll coordinate that for you.

How to Prepare for Your Visit

A little preparation makes your virtual visit smooth and productive. Find a quiet, well-lit, private spot with a stable internet connection a few minutes before your appointment.

Before You Log On

  • Test your camera, microphone, and connection a few minutes early.
  • Have your current medications, supplements, and any home readings (blood pressure, glucose, weight) within reach.
  • Write down your questions and symptoms so nothing gets missed.
  • Choose a private, quiet space where you can speak freely.
  • Keep your pharmacy name and preferred location handy for any prescription needs.

After Your Telehealth Visit

After your visit, Dr. Golian sends any new or renewed prescriptions to your pharmacy and orders labs or imaging if they're indicated. You'll receive a clear summary of next steps and any changes to your care plan.

When a concern needs hands-on evaluation or a specialist, she arranges an in-office visit or a specialist referral, including coordination with Cedars-Sinai when appropriate. Follow-up is always just a message or another video visit away.

Telehealth Is a Good Fit For

  • Follow-ups for stable chronic conditions and routine medication checks.
  • Prescription renewals and reviewing how a treatment is working for you.
  • Discussing lab or imaging results without an extra trip in.
  • Minor, non-urgent concerns and quick clinical questions.
  • Mental health check-ins for anxiety or low mood when in-person isn't needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

1What kinds of visits are right for telehealth?
Video visits work well for follow-ups on stable conditions, medication reviews and renewals, discussing test results, and minor non-urgent concerns. Anything needing a physical exam, in-person testing, or urgent care is better handled in the office or an appropriate setting.
2Can Dr. Golian prescribe or renew medications over video?
Yes. When clinically appropriate, she can prescribe and renew many medications during a telehealth visit and send them directly to your pharmacy. Certain medications still require an in-person evaluation.
3What do I need for a video visit?
Just a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone, plus a stable internet connection and a private, quiet space. You'll join through a secure, encrypted link, no special software to buy.
4Do I have to live near the office to use telehealth?
You can connect from anywhere in Los Angeles or while traveling, as long as you're physically located in a state where Dr. Golian is licensed at the time of your visit. She'll let you know if an in-person visit is needed.
5What happens if my issue needs to be seen in person?
If your concern needs a hands-on exam, testing, or a specialist, Dr. Golian will arrange an in-office appointment or coordinate a referral, including with Cedars-Sinai when appropriate, so nothing falls through the cracks.
