Post-Operative Follow-Up & Recovery Support
Personalized recovery monitoring and surgical-team coordination to help you heal safely after your procedure.
After surgery, the right follow-up care can make all the difference in how smoothly and safely you recover. As your primary care physician in Los Angeles, Dr. Golian provides attentive post-operative monitoring in close communication with your surgical team, including coordination with your specialists at Cedars-Sinai when needed.
What to Expect During Your Recovery Follow-Up
Your follow-up begins with a careful review of your surgical summary, discharge instructions, and any new medications. We check your incision sites, monitor for signs of infection or complication, and confirm that pain is being managed safely.
Because this is a membership-based practice, you have direct, unhurried access to Dr. Golian between visits. We also reconcile your medication list through a thorough medication reconciliation so that surgical prescriptions and your usual medications work together safely.
How to Prepare for Your Post-Op Visit
Bring your hospital or surgical-center discharge paperwork, including your operative summary and the names of any new medications or wound-care supplies. A quick note of any symptoms you have noticed, such as fever, increasing pain, swelling, or redness, helps us focus the visit.
If your surgery followed a pre-operative evaluation with our office, we will already have your baseline labs and history on file, which makes monitoring your recovery more seamless.
Recovery & Aftercare Monitoring
Recovery is rarely a single visit. We schedule follow-ups at the right intervals to track your healing, adjust medications, and resume management of any chronic conditions that were paused around your surgery.
If a concern arises that calls for your surgeon or another specialist, we handle the specialist coordination directly, so nothing falls through the cracks between teams. Our goal is a calm, well-monitored return to your everyday life.
